A few years ago, Nintendo released the much anticipated Super Mario Galaxy. This quickly became a favorite among many Mario fans and became a top seller. For those fans, the long awaited sequel, Super Mario Galaxy 2 is being released. This sequel has many favorite aspects from the previous game intact along with many new surprises.

Once again, Mario has the ability to team up with his dinosaur friend Yoshi as he travels from galaxy to galaxy to collect star pieces. When Mario happens upon an egg, he can break it open to release Yoshi and ride him throughout the level. Yoshi can eat items that give him special powers like flying through the air. He can also eat fruit as well as enemies and spit them out with the use of the Wii controller.

Throughout Super Mario Galaxy 2, there are new tools for Mario to utilize, including a super drill that drills through the earth and takes Mario to the other side. Along with the new tools, there are also many others from the previous game that are utilized throughout the new release.

The multi player action is also more involved this time. When another player jumps into the game, they can help gather star pieces, coins and even 1-ups to help out Mario. The first version of the game only let the player collect star bits. Now they can even pick up enemies.

Mario gets introduced to a new suit in this game. The cloud suit helps Mario to stand in a cloud that can move him across the screen to get to hard to reach places. This can only happen when the suit is worn and for a limited time. Plus, each powerup gives Mario only three uses of the suit.  Read more...

Who would have ever thought that your computer operating system would be to blame for your computer running slow? Well guess what – it is. Your computer’s operating system is designed to work as flawlessly as possible but unfortunately that isn’t the case. What happens is that when you fir get your computer there really isn’t anything on it and so if runs smoothly. The problem happens the more that you use it because junk starts to build up all over the computer in many different areas and this makes your computer run inefficiently. This is why people are so attracted to the idea of registry cleaners – they are designed to clean one area of your computer that runs inefficiently, but unfortunately it only cleans “one” area of your computer when there are many other areas that need to be taken care of. This is why after you use a registry cleaner your computer really isn’t that much faster.

Your computer’s operating system (assuming its Windows based) is designed to use RAM as a temporary working place. Now when some of these files are in RAM they also need to work with other files temporarily and in order to do this they need to use a space on your hard drive. This space is folder called your Temp folder and when window’s is done working with files in the Temp folder it will just delete them. The problem comes when your computer crashes, freezes or you manually kill a program. The files that were in your computer’s Temp folder never got deleted and after time a lot of files can build in this folder and slow your computer down. Having a slow computer can be really frustrating and inefficient. But exactly why does it get slower in time? There are a lot of theories out there, the biggest one being that it all has to do with your registry. This is why there is such a large amount of people out there that are trying to find the best registry cleaners to make their computer faster. Does a good registry cleaner make your computer faster – yes and no. See the main reason that you computer slows down is because after a while of using it junk starts to build up in many different areas and that is what slows it down. To make your computer faster again all you have to do is to just remove the junk and then it will run quicker again. This is why registry cleaners work and they don’t – all they do is just work on one area of your computer, it completely neglects all of the other areas that need to be worked on.

So where are all of the areas that junk builds up on your computer? Well that is beyond the scope of this article, but what I can do is I can show you were to start. Most people after using their computers for about a year or more have downloaded multiple programs onto their computer that they no longer need, but they have never actually bothered to take the time to delete them. If some of these programs are still installed, they are taking up hard drive space and they could actually be running in the background when you are using your computer. This means that they are using your computers resources but you are not benefiting from them. Could it really be true that your computers look might be the real reason why it runs slow? Yes, and no. Its part of the reason you have a slow computer, well actually it’s a small part of the reason your computer runs slow. Your computer runs slow because of all of the junk that builds up on it, but Windows has tuned its operating system to look good so that it will have user appeal.

Yes, it’s a trade off: looks or performance. But in all honesty, which would you rather have? A computer that looks good that for the most part only YOU look at or a computer that functions well and does more of what you want it to do? The answer seems pretty obvious to me, so here’s how to tune down your computers looks:

If you are using Windows XP, click Start, right click on My Computer and select Properties. Select the Advanced tab and where it says “Performance”, click on the Settings button. In the Visual Effects tab select Adjust For Best Performance. What you are doing here is making Windows XP look more like Windows 98. If you would like your computer to look somewhat good and still be tuned for performance, select the Custom box, make sure that all of the other boxes are checked off, scroll down to the bottom and select “Use Visual Styles On Windows And Buttons”. If you have a slow computer and want to make it faster there are many different things that you can do to either clean up your computer or “tune up” your computer but why not consider this – what if you could get to the applications and programs that you frequently use much quicker? How much time do you think you would save every day?

How much would you save if you were to add it up for a whole week or how about a month? I’m willing to bet that for the average person it would add up to a lot and even if it didn’t, being able to get to your programs quicker is just much more convenient. The user interface is something that you use frequently – you might as well spend some time to make it as convenient for you to use.

To being, let’s start off with the quick launch (if you not sure, the quick launch is that little group of icons that are right beside your start button). If you don’t see a little group of icons right beside your start menu, just right click on the taskbar and select Properties and then select Show Quick Launch to get them there. Now, in order for you to do anything you are going to have to unlock the quick launch. To do that, just right click on the task bar and select the Lock Taskbar option. By now you should be able to see some dotted lines which will allow you to resize it the quick launch window. Now all you have to do is to just find the top 3 applications that you use the most and then go through your All Programs list in the start menu and right click on their icons and select Copy. To add them, just go to your desktop, right click and select Paste. Now you should now see a copy of that icon on your desktop – all you have to do now to complete this is to just drag it into the quick launch area and the icon should be in bottom right hand corner next to the start menu (you can delete the shortcut that you copied to your desktop now since you will not be needing it). So every time that you start up your computer or just log on you don’t have to look all over the place those 3 programs – there right in front of you.  Read more...

The easiest method to modd your wii is by softmodding it. Softmodding is making use of computer software as an alternative to a modchip. Unlike modding employing a modchip, softmodding has various advantages:

- No need for a modchip, you can play downloaded games, it is safe and easy to install, maintains warranty, applicable in any wii, e.t.c.

You will need to have the following to softmodd your wii:

(a) SD Card. The SD Card is needed as a way to play burned DVD. You’ll be able to use any from either a digital camera or even the SD card of your mobile phone, as long as its capacity isn’t above 2GB. You should note that Wii isn’t compatible with SD Cards above 2GB (SDHC).

(b) DVD- Burner. Make sure that your pc has a DVD burner and a DVD-burning software installed. You may download a DVD-Burning application freely on-line. Alternatively, you’ll be able to use either an external harddisk or even a USB stick instead of DVDs.

(c) Unlocking application. You receive files right after downloading, and you need to store them on the SD Card. You can only do this by first unlocking your wii.

(d) Net connection on your nintendo wii.

After ensuring that all that is required is in place, you now need to install the Homebrew Channel. This is the channel you will go through in order to play DVDs and games.

Start by formatting the SD Card. Download all the required files, then transfer the SD Card to your wii.

Go to the wii button at below left. Press Data Management then press Save. Press wii. Delete savegame on the Zelda.

Press the SD Card and Twilight hack will show. Copy it to your wii system then start Zelda. Load your savegame. Now follow the on-screen instructions.  Read more...
