I ordered this item several days ago. The page said it was in stock. Well, it’s taking them *at least* 7 days just to ship it, so that it’s guaranteed I won’t get it for our Thanksgiving vacation – for which I bought it. No explanation whatsoever as to why there is such a huge delay on shipping it and no apologies either.
So, if you were thinking of getting one of these for a long drive, make sure you order it at least a month in advance.

I purchase in 2004 a Panasonic DVD-LX9 portable DVD player for $800. Until recently, it worked fine. However, the built-in but detachable battery just went bad and needs replacing. Panasonic has discontinued the battery, and without it the player won’t work even on mains power ! So, my expensive investment is now quite useless ! All Panasonic is prepared to do is offer a small discount to buy a much inferior unit. SO MY ADVICE IS : DON’T BUY PANASONIC LEST THEY DISCONTINUE THE BATTERY LATER !!

I RECIEVED A PORTABLE DVD PLAYER A WHILE BACK… IT HAD A GOOD PICTURE
BUT THE BATTERY LIFE WAS APROX 40 MIN……..I WAS VERY DISSAPOINTED
I HEARD ABOUT THIS DVD PLAYER FROM PANASONIC. AND RECIEVED IT AS A GIFT
I TOOK THIS THING WITH ME ON MY VACATION LAST MONTH….AND I CAN TELL YOU I WATCHED TWO MOVIES, WHILE ON A LONG FLIGHT….AND STILL HAD BATTERY TIME TO SPARE…..THE PICTURE IS PRETTY GOOD……THE SPEAKERS GIVE YOU ALOT OF VOLUME IF YOU CHOOSE TO LISTEN TO IT WITHOUT HEADPHONES
I MUST SAY THAT THE SIZE, BATTERY LIFE, AND THE FLEXABILITY OF POSITIONING THE SCREEN…….IS WONDERFUL….THIS IS A MUST HAVE IF YOUR LOOKING FOR A PORTABLE DVD PLAYER……..NONE OF THE OTHER MAJOR PLAYERS IN THE ELECTRONICS INDUSTRY.ARE OFFERING UP TO 13 HOURS OF BATTERY LIFE
IF YOUR LUCKY ITS 4-5 HOURS.WHICH GENERLY MEANS 2-3
YOU MAKE THE CHOICE……..
