Awful. It was not to good of a movie. It was what I expected – dumb. Seann William Scott (American Pie – Unrated (Widescreen Collector’s Edition)) might as well be in the American Pie straight to DVD movies (American Pie Presents: The Threesome Pack) because this movie wasn’t good. The beginning is predictable and over-used. It is obvious what is going to happen. If you want a movie about Aliens then see Monsters vs. Aliens [Blu-ray] because this movie (Planet 51) is no good.

This should have been a released to DVD and never sent to the theater. Boring, predictable, definitely a rental, not worth more the $5.00. The good news is it was only 86 minutes long…lol

I took my 8year old and friend to see this. It was hard to sit through the entire movie.
It was:
1. Boring
2. Not funny – very few laugh out loud moments
2. References to subject matter way over a child’s head
3. A couple of inappropriate references
I will not be buying this movie…ever.

Substituting real people for artificial creatures did not make the movie more attractive. Instead, the producer was stuck with the limitation of graphic animation that created empty places, scarcity of liveliness, and boring musicals. My only justification for resorting to such low level of graphic animation was stingy economic reasons that rendered the movie less attractive and boring.
The contrast between the complex and advanced space technology and the low-level animation and poorly written scenario would not serve the purpose of enriching the imagination of children. The odd features of the artificial creatures did not serve the purpose of invoking laughter or curiosity, nor did they aid in expanding the horizon of telling a compelling fictional tale.
Embarking on a shallow story with no climaxing affairs, told with boring low graphic animation, made the sitting and watching burdensome and the end regrettable. You would have wished that you would rather get right away into a more sensual movie in order to stay uplifted.
