This refers to the PC version.
Yes the graphics are fantastic.
The squad level interface is great.
However, unless you have exceptional game related eye-hand coordination you can only get so far in the game.
What I am referring to is a mini game to open doors that require you to match eight items into 4 pairs in 15 secs while moving a momentum driven cursor that response like its on water.

Mass Effect 2 starts as has Mass Effect 1 done two years before … with no in-game sound. It is annoying that it seems that on some systems (PC) again the same problems as in the past are present again. In comparison to DragonAge:Origins, why is is not possible to get it right before the first patch?
I think, and for what I have seen so far, the game itself will be as great as the first part, but the sound bug is really unnecessary.
And before anyone asks: it is certainly no driver or hardware problem of my system, it seems to be a decoding problem in the game with the used sound codec

I have anticipated the release of this game ever since I first heard rumors of a sequel. I even pre-ordered it, which is something that I never do.
I’ve had the game since 1/26 and have not played it. At all.
Like it or not, the game installs an annoying little program called PhysX. It’s made by NVIDIA and, as we all know, NVIDIA and ATI are like the Hatfields and McCoys. My system exceeds the recommended requirements and whenever I try to start the game, I get the launcher, I click Play and get an error that it couldn’t initialized the physics system.
There’s an entire novel’s worth of the hoops that I’ve jumped through to try and resolve the issue, but after spending 30 hours this week waiting to try and chat with EA’s so called customer service agents, I’m pretty much done. I managed to chat with two agents who both told me the same thing. Uninstall and re-install. How original.
I know that if I could actually play the game, I’d probably give it a 4 or 5, but because of EA’s commitment to avoiding their customers by severely limiting any method of communication, it gets a zero. Even though I have to give it something.
In fact, I’ve been waiting for the last twenty minutes to chat with someone about a return. 10 to 1 I get cut off for the fifth time today.
Sounds like sour grapes, but with customer service that is this dismal, their product, no matter how good it may be when it works, deserves to reside in a landfill.
Apologies to those of you who actually got it to work…

I installed the game. I checked the box and my PC’s system to make sure I could run this epic game. It even configures to my PC, and then it closes out and I can’t resolve this issue. I know this game would be awesome, if I could play it.

Good game but, these publishers need to get the game to work out the box.I also think EA needs to be kicked out because their service in a whole is the worse I have even had with tech support. The game comes with an access card to allow you to download in game extras. The only problem is do not follow the instructions printed on the card which says goto ea.com to activate your card.If you goto bio wares social network site and activate the card load the game up and type in you keycode the game says card already in use. With this problem the free access card that is included in the box does not work or is there proper instructions on activating the access card so you can have your free access to the extra downloads.Just be prepared if you buy the collectors edition to shell out another $15 just so you can enjoy playing the game.Oh and tech support worse ever!!!You can use the web service that EA has to get tech support I tried 3 times and the service kicks you off after waiting 30 min. to try and even talk to a tech. The phone service is even worse. You wait over 30 minutes then when you time is up waiting the tech support the service keeps you in a dead loop with noone or even a recording to let you know how long you have until a tech can speak with you.As for e-mail tech support. What a joke 3 days and no response to this problem the game has out of the box.
